A new story

March

At Trackers we want our investment in outreach to be less about "marketing" and more about supporting local artists. You may already notice this in our photographs, videos and design. We want people to clarify their own hopes and dreams as they experience our story. Even if they never take a single class with us, the most important thing we always hear is, "Thank your for being you." In business, the days of "hard sell" are over. Now your message gets to be a genuine expression of what you believe. Think about it. What if businesses were more sincere in matching services to people and neighborhoods? What if they weren't there to convince people to buy, but instead to explore all the possibilities for the betterment of the communities they are a part of? The result, happier staff and clients. Yes, you need to make a living and livelihood, but that is different than "getting rich quick". Our economy is in a crises because a lot of people wanted to make money easily as opposed to doing what their heart tells them. At Trackers, we are here to create beautiful things, now and many generations into the future. In that vein, we had local author Lisa Wells re-craft the story of our 9 month immersion program....

There are worlds beyond the one we know, other lives to be lived...

The world has changed. Much of what was has been lost or forgotten. But under the monuments of steel and glass, heavy lattice of city streets, there are worlds beyond the one we know. Stories whispering under bridges, standing up in strange places. People are beginning to remember the old ways. Very soon nothing will be the same. Our time has come. Are you ready?

Nine months. A fellowship of ten. If chosen to join the Trackers WILD fellowship, you will be immersed for nine months in a learning village where masters mentor the experts of tomorrow. You will train in the lost arts. Tracking, survival, primitive shelter building, wild edible and medicinal plants, bow craft, hunting and gathering, basketry, primitive boat building, fire making, fishing, storytelling, wilderness medicine, permaculture and herbalism. Like the ancient scouts, apprentices will train in invisibility, dead zones, shadow tracking, stealth awareness and martial arts.

Who will be considered? Those who know that life is an epic adventure waiting to happen. Who want to live fully, confident in their ability to handle what the world throws at them. Those who want to come closer to themselves and community. Who love wading in rivers, hanging from trees and lying in meadows under a dome of stars. Those who want to walk centered and aware, who can handle conflict with eloquence, and occasionally take a man out with just one punch. Those for whom awareness, survival, sustainability and art are inextricably linked. Those who want to sip on some dandelion wine at the campfire and sing along. Those who can camp under bridges, in the woods, or on a condo floor and keep their camo on. Those who see the writing on the wall.
