The Remembering
22nd
April

At some point in our past, we had a "Great Forgetting". We forgot what it was like to live connected to the land. We forgot how to make a fire with our own hands. We forgot about the diversity of life. We forgot that the support of family and land is the most fundamental part of being human.

What our world needs now, is a "Great Remembering". Changing our life to one of caretaking and wilding does not necessarily mean giving something up. It can actually mean once again understanding the intrinsic village relationships we've lost.

The "Great Remembering" sprouts to life with our own personal quest. It flowers by binding our family together. It comes to fruition as we begin to shift the stories our culture tells. With the right vision, maybe one day, people will tell fables of the "Great Remembering", an unexpected time when the arrow of the way we live turned back to tending, care and eloquence.
