Summer Expeditions
Summer is our opportunity to be outside and in the wilds day and night. 10-weeks of overnight expedition training is a rite of passage that fundamentally changes your life forever.
Outdoor Leadership & wilderness survival
This is the ultimate outdoor leadership program. We go far beyond backpacking. From the ancient art of tracking to taoist martial arts, from wilderness survival to wild edible plants, our expeditions train bushcraft skills not found at your everyday outdoor school.
Expedition Training
You are outdoors practically the entire summer. You live and breathe what is truly wild. Every skill you learn directly applies to where you sleep, when you eat and where you journey that day.
Rites of Passage
This outdoor life is a rite of passage itself. We also include solo expeditions that test your skills, removing all separation between you and the natural world. What you learn while walking this edge becomes your own vision and roadmap to help recreate a village deeply connected to the Earth.
Class Days for Summer 2010
Upcoming Term June 20-August 28, 2010
Class takes place nearly every day and night with rest days and periods between expeditions and intensives. Teaching hours are varied depending on the subject. All camping, lodging and food is provided for the entire 10 weeks. A 1-week Nature of the Village both begins and ends the term (June 13-19, August 15-21).
